Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Public reports show that the CFPB have taken action against Chime Inc, the operator of the Sendwave application, for allegedly deceiving customers about the cost and speed of international remittance transfers. (https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsroom/cfpb-takes-action-against-operator-of-sendwave-app-for-illegally-cheating-people-on-international-money-transfers/).
1) Any digital communications (including but not limited to emails and text messages) between representatives of the CFPB with Chime (@chime.com) or their representatives.
2) Any digital communications including but not limited to emails and text messages as well as documents (including but not limited to PDF, word processing, excel and slide documents) that mention Chime, its Sendwave application or its parent company WorldRemit.
3) Any digital communications including but not limited to emails and text messages as well as documents (including but not limited to PDF, word processing, excel and slide documents) that include customer complaints about Chime, its Sendwave application or its parent company WorldRemit.
To help limit the extent of the responsive documents, please limit search from January 1, 2023 through the time this request is processed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
