Dear Ms. Schmidt,
In response to your questions sent on March 26, 2012 regarding Jack Kirby:
Mr. Kirby was a prominent comic book artist - he co-created Captain America, the X-Men, The Fantastic Four, the Hulk, etc. As far as I can tell, he was based in the New York City at least through the 70s. Kirby was his legally changed Anglicized name, which he used exclusively from his early career.

Jack Kirby (born Jacob Kurtzberg, August 28, 1917 in New York, NY – died February 6, 1994)
Thank you,
Jacob Shemkovitz

P.S. I understand that the National Archives may have actual published media in its possession (e.g. issues of comics with Mr. Kirby credited). As this inquiry was originally made to the FBI (and forwarded to the National Archives), I am not looking for copies of published works, but for correspondence, files, etc. about Mr. Kirby. Let me know if any further clarification would be helpful.
