Complaints Made About Disqus & AddThis

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am seeking all complaints submitted to the FTC about the company Disqus and also the AddThis service.

From 2006 to 2008, the AddThis was an independent company. In 2008, it was purchased by Clearview Technologies. Clearview Technologies changed its name to AddThis in 2012 and the company was purchased by Oracle in 2016. While there may be other FTC complaints submitted about Oracle, in 2016 and beyond, I am only looking for ones that involve AddThis.

Please limit the date range of your search to January 1, 2006 and the date when the search for responsive documents is conducted.

I am a reporter at a nonprofit news organization called The Markup (www.themarkup.org) and all documents obtained from this request will be used as part of my reporting and not for commercial purposes. As such, I am seeing a waiver on all fees associated with this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
