Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting a count of all citizenship relinquishments & renunciations / Certificate of Loss of Nationality requests processed.
Ideally, this count should be broken down to show the number of CLNs / Renunciations on a per-consulate/per-embassy basis on a per-month and/or per-quarter, and/or annual basis.
In the event that a count of CLN requests / relinquishments & renunciations is not available; monthly, quarterly, or annual accounts of revenue from the associated fee may be responsive to this request, in consultation.
Please note that this information should be based on State Department records rather than the Federal Register listing of individuals who have renounced/relinquished citizenship or green cards.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
