The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Taylor Amarel:
I am contacting you in regards to the above-referenced FOIA request you submitted via Muckrock.com on June 26, 2018. In your request you state that you are seeking "All emails sent to, from, or copied to David H. Laufman (Chief Counterintelligence and Export Control Section, National Security Division) from January 1, 2016 to January 1, 2017 containing any of the following non-case-sensitive key-strings: "EB-5", "Wikileaks", "Amarel", "Whistleblower", or "Assange."
You directed your request to the Office of the Attorney General and it has been received by the Office of Information Policy of the United States Department of Justice, which processes Freedom of Information Act and Privacy Act requests for records it maintains as well as records maintained by the Offices of the Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Associate Attorney General, Public Affairs, Legislative Affairs, and Legal Policy.
As such, if this Office were to process your request and conduct a search for responsive records, it would only result in any emails sent by David H. Laufman to the Office of the Attorney General and not emails sent by Mr. Laufman elsewhere or emails received by Mr. Laufman.
Please respond to this email to let me know if this was your intent or, alternatively, if you intended to request all emails sent and received by Mr. Laufman? If your intent was the latter, I will route your request to the National Security Division as the DOJ component likely to maintain those records.
