To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
- All data dictionaries used for or associated with the National Use-of-Force Data Collection program.
- Any documents sufficient to explain, detail or describe the contents of tables and fields in any database used in the National Use-of-Force Data Collection program.
“Data Dictionary” means and refers to any set of information describing the contents, format, and structure of a database and the relationship between its elements, used to control access to and manipulation of the database.
For reference, the FBI launched the National Use-of-Force Data Collection program on January 1, 2019: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/ucr/use-of-force
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
