Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All grazing permits held by the J.R. Simplot company or its subsidiaries (many of which have individual dbas) on Forest Service lands in the year 2024.
I am a reporter for High Country News.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I noted your inquiry on the status of your FOIA request 2025-FS-WO-01153-F from yesterday and thought I best follow up with you.
On November 12, 2024, I emailed you (to the requests@muckrock.com<mailto:requests@muckrock.com> address) the attached request for clarification. Would you be able to review it and let me know if you are amenable to receive a list of the permits in lieu of the actual permits? For the actual permits, we will need to contact each of the local offices, and this will take much longer to accomplish.
Your request 2024-FS-01153-F is on hold awaiting your clarification.
