This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All records on, about, mentioning or concerning Joe Morris, Sr.

Morris, Full blooded Dine'(Navajo), was born in 1926 and raised on the Navajo reservation in Indian Wells, Ariz.

He served in the United States Marine Corp. as a Navajo Code Talker from 1944-46 (Guadalcanal, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa, and Tinstao, China).

Morris died July 17, 2010. His death is well known and can be verified in many places including an obituary in the LA Times which is available online: http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-joe-morris-20110722,0,4417423.story

Please note that the subject is dead and the records are likely over 62 years old. Please provide complete access to the records requested.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest.
