To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

The list of all lighthouses in the possession of the U.S. Coast Guard selected to be disposed of, either by transfer by sale, by gift, or by other agreements. If possible, please include the status of possession transfer and the recipient individual or group. In the case that no aggregate list currently exists, documents containing the requested material in separate bits will suffice.

As a reporter with MuckRock News, I also request that fees be waived, the ongoing disposal of property held by the United States government is of current public interest. In addition to being gathered for the purpose of creating a relevant presentation to the public, these documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com. No commercial interest exists.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Best wishes,

Beryl C.D. Lipton
