Dear R. M. Seibert,

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated
October 24, 2018 for records in the custody of the National Archives and
Records Administration (NARA). You requested access to the folder labeled
[Levine, Randy L.] [Accordion Folder] Church of Scientology (National
Archives Identifier 1558345) in the series Subject Files of the Deputy
Associate Attorney General, 1981 – 1994 within Record Group 60: General
Records of the Department of Justice. Your request was received in this
office on October 25, 2018 and assigned reference number *RD 59178*.

We located and surveyed the folder [Levine, Randy L.] [Accordion Folder]
Church of Scientology. It contains approximately 500 pages regarding the
Church of Scientology. The documents are dated from the year 1986.

The folder required screening for categories of information exempted from
disclosure under the FOIA. It was previously reviewed in its entirety
under the terms of the FOIA (5 USC 552). There are no restrictions on
access to the folder so it is open and available for research use.

If you are unable to schedule a visit to our College Park facility, the
standard rate for reproduction orders is $0.80 per page regardless of
format. Please contact Jessica Hartman via email at
Jessica.Hartman@nara.gov if you would like to place an order.

Please note that you or your designated representative may view the fully
released folder in Room 2000, the reading room operated by the Textual
Reference Branch at our College Park facility. To make arrangements,
please contact Jessica Hartman via email at Jessica.Hartman@nara.gov at
least one week in advance of your planned visit.

This concludes the processing of your request in this office. If you have
additional questions concerning our review of this file, please contact me
directly via email at jennifer.namsiriwan@nara.gov.

Dear Ms. Hartman,

At your convenience can you please prepare a reproduction quote and order form for FOIA RD #59178. I was notified this file was surveyed to be approximately 500 pages and cleared for release in full, but since I am unable to visit your College Park facility in the near future I hope to receive this release electronically once I pay for the necessary copying fees.

Thank you in advance for your assistance,
R. M. Seibert

From: National Archives And Records Administration – Archival Or Special Access

Hi,

Attached you will find the reproduction quote, as well as instructions on
payment. This quote will be valid for 90 days. Please be sure to send all
payment information directly to the Trust Fund. Once our Trust Fund has
received confirmation of payment, we will begin processing your order.
This can take 4-6 weeks.

Please note the attached reproduction is only an estimate. If the pages of
the file exceed the quote, we will have to generate a new one and payment
will have to be confirmed before the order can be completed. Any pages
that are not filled will automatically be refunded to you.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you!

From: R. M. Seibert

Thank you for sending me a confirmation email that you received my check and the order form I completed on the "Quotation for Reproduction Services." Can you please advise me what my order number is for using the online TrackIt! system?

My original FOIA request was identified as "RD 59178" and the quote for reproduction costs was numbered as "Q01-457358402" with the customer number listed as 1-72VP4K. I've tried using several variations of these ID numbers on the website your confirmation message referenced under the "Check My Reference Request or Order Status" field, but the online system keeps telling me I don't have a valid number.

Thank you in advance for your assistance,
