NORAD Santa Presidential Calls & Policies

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of procedures, policies, or other written guidance regarding screening NORAD Santa Tracker phone calls and which outlined the methods or process by which some were then routed to former President Barack Obama and current President (as of this writing) Donald J. Trump.

For reference while researching this request, the phone number 1-877-446-6723, along with other phone numbers, was used to connect children with volunteers who would update them on the status of Santa's journey during the Christmas delivery season in late December. I am requesting the materials used to manage the process by which some of those calls were forwarded onto the president, as detailed in this news article on the subject:

I am requesting policies that were either active or were generated on or after Nov. 1, 2015.

I also request copy of any notes, logs, or other tracking materials kept during the NORAD Santa Tracker Program that specifically note callers that were offered to be pathed through to the President, as well as any logs or notes regarding which children and families accepted this offer. To protect any privacy interests, I agree to any withholdings of names or other identifying information about individual callers, but request any notes about declining or accepting communications with the president, as well as any recordings of these conversations.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
