By way of background:

On January 29, 2025, Charles Ezell, Acting Director, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, sent a memo to all Heads and Acting Heads of Departments and Agencies entitled "Initial Guidance Regarding President Trump’s Executive Order Defending Women." Amongst other things, the memo instructed all Heads and Acting Heads of Departments and Agencies to prepare two reports to be sent to defendingwomen@opm.gov by February 7, 2025 at 12:00pm Eastern.

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. A copy of the complete list of actions taken in response to OPM's January 29, 2025 memo entitled: "Initial Guidance Regarding President Trump’s Executive Order Defending
Women" and the President's Executive Order entitled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government "

2. A copy of any agency plans to fully comply with OPM's January 29, 2025 memo entitled: "Initial Guidance Regarding President Trump’s Executive Order Defending
Women" and the President's Executive Order entitled "Defending Women from Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government "

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hello Mr. Neiss,

I am emailing you regarding a FOIA request with USCCR, #2025-14, which was for a list of agency plans and actions taken regarding President Trump’s Executive Order Defending Women. Our agency has implemented this Executive Order and has taken the following actions:

* USCCR removed the “universal” bathroom signs at headquarters
* USCCR reviewed and removed questions about gender identity from our State Advisory Committee applications
* USCCR also removed 10 items from our website in compliance with 1(f) in the EO.

No information has been withheld or redacted regarding this FOIA request. Our agency considers the release of this information a full grant.
