Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Reports show that Coast Guard reserve crews from three Port Security Units (PSUs) conducted an exercise called "Poseidon's Domain" along the northeast and eastern coasts of Puerto Rico from April 8 to April 25. The event included trainings such as boat operations, unmanned aerial systems and establishment of a Life Support Area. Coast Guard worked with the U.S. Reserve Army’s 432nd Transportation Company, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Fajardo Maritime and Air Operations Unit, the FURA Maritime Surveillance Division and the Puerto Rico Police Vieques District to enhance joint maritime security capabilities in the region. Therefore, I request the following records:

1) Any communications, emails, text messages, and attachments exchanged between your department and other military departments involved in the training exercise "Poseidon's Domain" (including but not limited to: US Army Reserve, Customs and Border Patrol, and Puerto Rico Police).

2) Any communications, emails, text messages, and attachments exchanged between your department and Puerto Rican government agencies who had knowledge of the training exercise "Poseidon's Domain" (including but not limited to: Puerto Rico Police Department and Office of the Governor (La Fortaleza)).

3) Any presentations, presentation attachments, and instructional materials (these include but are not limited to audio, video, PowerPoint presentations, and slide formats) concerning the training exercise "Poseidon's Domain" that took place in Puerto Rico between April 8 and 25.

4) Any maps used in the planning of and during the training exercise "Poseidon's Domain" that took place in Puerto Rico between April 8 and 25.

This request is for all records produced between April 1, 2024 and the time this request is processed.

This request is not being used for commercial purposes. I am an independent journalist and documents obtained by this request will be used in the course of reporting on military exercises in Puerto Rico

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
