Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any correspondence or communication that took place between June 28, 2013 and August 16, 2013 pertaining to Egypt between President Barack Obama and the following members of his cabinet and US officials:
- Vice President Joe Biden
- Secretary of State John Kerry
- Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel
- UN Ambassador Susan Rice/UN Ambassador Samantha Power
- National Security Advisor Thomas Donilon/National Security Advisor Susan Rice
- Deputy National Security Advisor Antony Blinken
- Deputy National Security Advisor Denis McDonough
- CIA Director John Brennan
- Deputy CIA director Michael Morell
- Deputy CIA director Avril Haines
I would also like to request any communication or correspondence that took place between any of the aforementioned members of President Obama's cabinet regarding the same subject of Egypt and during the same period of time.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
