I am a reporter with a nonprofit news organization called The Markup. As such, I am seeking a a waiver of all fees associated with this request. I would be willing to pay up to $100 for the completion of this request.
I filed this same request earlier this year (FOIA-2020-00355) but it was denied because I did not include how much I would be willing to pay for document retrieval costs. My denial letter stated I should file a fresh request that does include that information, which I am doing now.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Aaron Sankin
