All records of employees hired under Direct Hire Authority from January 20, 2017
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hello,
For this information request, I am looking for the names and positions of all employees that have been hired by the Department of Homeland Security under Direct Hire Authority since January 20, 2017.

Kat, (please refer to your request number when you respond and please respond directly to me to skip a step through the inbox)
Our office discussed this request with our Office of the Chief Human Capital office (OCHCO) and they cannot conduct a search based upon your request as worded.
OCHCO advised that requester would have to advise which Direct Hiring Authority (DHA ) you are interested in as that is how the information is put into the data base and has to be searched.
This is very complex and I would be happy to talk to you on the phone to explain further.
Also our office at HQ only cover HQ employees if you want this information from the component offices you would need to submit your request to those FOIA offices.
If perfected, other requesters also are only entitles to two hours of free search time.
