The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

This letter is in reference to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated March 17, 2018. Your request was received on March 19, 2018. You asked for all records of employees hired under Direct Hire Authority from January 20, 2017.
Please be advised that the Department of Housing and Urban Development will comply with your request to the extent permissible by law. Any records not subject to an exemption will be forwarded to you promptly upon completion of the Department's search and review process. However, your request is broad and vague. It's uncertain what is meant by 'all records'. Additionally, your request wants records from January 20, 2017, but didn't provide an ending date for the search. You need to provide clarity regarding the records you want and timeframe in order for a search to be conducted.
Please clarify your request within 15 business days from the date of this letter. If I do not hear from you within that time, your request will be withdrawn. Please be advised that such an action will not preclude you from filing other requests in the future.
