This email is the final response of the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) No. FY18-108 submitted on March 19, 2018 requesting "all records of employees hired under Direct Hire Authority from January 20, 2017."
Upon receipt of your request, the FOIA office contacted USTR's Director of Human Capital. USTR does not have Direct Hire Authority for any of its positions, nor have we requested approval for this authority from the Office of Personnel Management. Therefore, we have no records responsive to your request.
