Communications
From: Matt Kasper
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all electronic communications between Matthew Z. Leopold, General Counsel, and representatives of the Edison Electric Institute, and Hunton & Williams. According to Mr. Leopold's calendar, he had meetings, speaking engagements, and/or calls with representatives of EEI and Hunton & Williams on May 4, May 3, April 16, March 22, and March 8.
This request should include but is not limited to emails, attachments, both sent and received, notes, minutes, event materials, agendas, or handouts. The search for records may be limited to December 14, 2017 and the processing date of the request. Please exclude all press clips.
I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest. The organization I work for, the Energy and Policy Institute, is a clearinghouse of information and can qualify as a representative of the news media. There are several examples of public record requests that have been provided to my organization and that were then published on our website to inform the public.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Matt Kasper
