Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1). Proceedings of the Central Intelligence Agency conference, "SOVIET DECEPTION OF US INTELLIGENCE: CONCEPTS TECHNIQUES AND PROSPECTS", held on 29-31 AUGUST 1984 at Airlie House, Warrenton Virginia, published internally by CIA/DI/Office of Global Issues.
- An "after-action report" on the conference prepared for DCI Casey by James B. Bruce (mentioned in declassified article from Studies in Intelligence Vol. 64, No. 1 (Extracts, March 2020).
- Any other documents (plans, reports, meetings, communications, discussions, etc) pertaining to the conference.
If either the conference proceedings or related documents are still classified, please process this as a Mandatory Declassification Review request.

2). The two-volume National Intelligence Estimate titled, "Soviet Strategic Deception" ("NIE 11-11"; "NIE 11-11-85"), prepared by the National Intelligence Council for the Reagan administration in 1985.
- Any other documents (plans, reports, meetings, communications, discussions, etc) pertaining to National Intelligence Estimate 11-11-85.
If either the NIE or related documents are still classified, please process this as a Mandatory Declassification Review request.

I am an international relations scholar working for a public research institution (Peace Research Institute Frankfurt), doing research into the history of intelligence and the problem of strategic deception. The material will exclusively be used for scholarly research.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
