From: Jordan Lassiter
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Related to the administrative closure of my FOIA request, Case Number 115974 and Appeal Number 5699. Specifically, I am requesting any and all documents, including but not limited to internal memos, emails, and other communications, related to the decision to administratively close my request.
In addition, I am requesting any records related to the NSA's policies and practices for administratively closing FOIA requests, including any guidance or training materials provided to FOIA officers.
Furthermore, I would like to cite several relevant court cases in support of my FOIA request, including "American Civil Liberties Union v. Department of Defense," "Electronic Frontier Foundation v. NSA," and "National Security Archive v. CIA." These cases have addressed the importance of transparency and accountability in the FOIA process and the need for agencies to provide detailed explanations for their actions in closing or denying FOIA requests.
I request that you do not withhold or redact any responsive records, as I intend to pursue all available legal remedies, including filing a lawsuit to compel the production of records, if necessary
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Jordan Lassiter
