Communications
From: Michael Morisy
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all responses sent to Congressional committees between Jan.1, 2008 and the date that this request is processed. These communications are stored together and should be easily accessible.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Michael Morisy

Good Morning Mr Morisy,
Would you please narrow your search from "all responses" sent to
Congressional Committees...? If your organization could provide a more
specific search parameter, such as a subject, issue, dates or particular
committee, EUCOM could begin a quicker and proper search.
We hope to receive a narrowed search in order to help both of our
organizations and look forward to working with you.
Thank you.
Regards,
Naomi

Thanks for your help narrowing this request.
Is there any specific subject index or other categorization list I could review to help answer your question? Any indexes of the correspondence would be helpful.
From: EUCOM USAG Stuttgart ECJ1 Mailbox FOIA-PrivAct Request
Good Morning Sir,
EUCOM does not have a "specific subject index or other categorization list"
of our documents. Our command follows the Joint Chiefs of Staff Records
Management file program.
I have attached the link which describes records we might possibly have.
Please be advised some of the documents may be classified and non-releasable.

Again, if your organization could provide a more detailed/narrowed scope of
search (subject area, issue, title, which committee responded to), EUCOM will
be able to perform a search.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.
Thank you.
Regards,
Naomi
