Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all written or electronic communications sent or received by former Deputy Assistant Secretary Aurelia Skipwith that contains one or more of the following words or phrases: "Bold Strategies", "Ruckert", "John Burns", "the St. Louis Academy", and/or "de la Tour". This request specifically seeks information regarding Aurelia Skipwith's work to help a private real estate firm in New Orleans receive approval for their plan to redevelop a historic Catholic school into private condos. This request also seeks any communication that Skipwith had with the lobbying firm Bold Strategies, including its president Kyle Ruckert, and/or with the staff of Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy on this matter. This request seeks records produced between September 2017 and December 2018.
I am a reporter with The Nation and other outlets.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
