Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. Records from January 1, 1941 through December 31, 1946 pertaining to the internment of Japanese-Americans and people of Japanese ancestry at the Tule Lake Relocation Center. This "camp" went by many names, including Tulelake Internment Center and others.

2. Records of University of California students, faculty, staff, and affiliates who were interred at the Tule Lake Relocation Center.

3. Records of revenue generated by agricultural labor preformed by people of Japanese ancestry at Tule Lake Relocation Center.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Apologies if not. Here's what our Public Affairs specialist in California said:

I'm not aware of anything off hand. I could do some research at the national Archives, but then, so could the FOIA requestor. Our archival records from the 1940s are public and available at NARA-2 in College Park, MD for any researchers who care to examine them.
