From: Alex
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting all available records related to Clifford Herman Forster, born July 6, 1913, in Manhattan, New York, and died August 1, 2016, in Manhattan, New York.
Clifford Forster was a Yale Law School graduate (Class of 1935 and 1938) and later became an ACLU lawyer. Yale University had a significant number of alumni who were involved with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) during World War II, and it is believed that Clifford Forster was connected to the OSS as part of his service.
Specifically, I am seeking:
- Any records of military service, including enlistment, discharge, or summaries, particularly related to Clifford Forster's work with the OSS during World War II.
- Any documentation related to his reported involvement with the French Resistance.
- Any records or information regarding an alleged relationship between Clifford Forster and a childhood friend who later became a bodyguard for Adolf Hitler and allegedly acted as a source of intelligence for Allied forces.
- Any information on the following awards that Clifford Forster reportedly received:
- Jeanne D’Arc Medal, awarded by French General Pierre DeBenouville.
- Commemorative Medal Assembly of Captive European Nations.
- Commander Order of Merit, awarded by a West German Governor.
If clarification is needed, please contact me. Thank you for your consideration.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Alex Seneco
