Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All memorandums, directives, plans, and related materials regarding the establishment of processes and orders for the purpose of denaturalization and the associated review of naturalization and deportation cases at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
According to Director L. Francis Cessna, “We finally have a process in place to get to the bottom of all these bad cases and start denaturalizing people who should not have been naturalized in the first place.” This process included the hiring or redirection of dozens of lawyers and the creation of a new office in Los Angeles. Please provide all relevant materials related to the current process of denaturalization review, the new process of denaturalization review, the establishment of any new offices (including the forthcoming one expected for Los Angeles), and any available reports regarding cases reviewed and new recommendations for denaturalization.
Please provide materials on a rolling basis, making responsive documents available as they are reviewed.
