This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Information relating to United States pilots flying French jets during Operation Odyssey Dawn, Operation Unified Protector, and any other related operations, including information on how many U.S. pilots flew French jets, how many French jets were flown by U.S. pilots, how many missions U.S. pilots participated in while flying French jets, and which aircraft carrier or carriers U.S. pilots flew French jets from during the period of March to October of 2011.
President Barack Obama made mention of U.S. pilots flying French Jets during these operations in a speech on November 04, 2011, the transcript of which is publicly available online. https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2011/11/04/remarks-president-obama-honoring-alliance-between-united-states-and-fran
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

The subject Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated October 15, 2016 was received at the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center (AFIMSC) on May 22, 2017. You are seeking "...information relating to United States pilots flying French jets during Operation Odyssey Dawn, Operation Unified Protector, and any other related operations, including information on how many U.S. pilots flew French jets, how many French jets were flown by U.S. pilots, how many missions U.S. pilots participated in while flying French jets, and which aircraft carrier or carriers U.S. pilots flew French jets from during the period of March to October of 2011".
It is not clear on the attached documents as to where you originally sent this request; however, United States Air Force-Europe (USAFE) found the attached pages on a fax machine in one of the offices and contacted AFIMSC. Most of the pages are illegible but AFIMSC was able to contact US Europe Command (EUCOM) FOIA Manager based on some information deciphered from the original request. In November 2016, EUCOM sent an email to you stating you needed to send your request to USAFE FOIA office.
However, during our research, we found this is a Duplicate Request as it was also sent to US-Africa Command that informed you it falls under the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Europe and the request was forwarded for processing. You will be hearing from the US Navy directly regarding your initial request.
Thus, the subject request is officially closed, this date.
