From: Muira McCammon
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I would like copies of all tweets deleted by the @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This would include any tweets sent out on Twitter that were subsequently deleted or kept in draft form from the Twitter accounts of @FLOTUS, @POTUS, and @WhiteHouse. This request also would include copies of any e-mails or correspondence regarding the deletion of these tweets.
I am specifically asking for deleted tweets from the White House's account (@WhiteHouse) from April 2009 onwards, from President Barack Obama's account (@POTUS) from June 2013 onwards, and from First Lady Michelle Obama's account (@FLOTUS) from January 2013 onwards.
In order to clarify the scope of the request, please include all cross-references. Please do not limit the search to agency-originated records.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. I am writing in my capacity as a journalist whose pieces have appeared in publications including Slate and the Massachusetts Review, and as such, I request a fee waiver.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Muira McCammon
