Pursuant to Utah’s Government Records Access and Management Act (“GRAMA”), I hereby request the following records:
A log of public records requests submitted to the State Office of Education that lists the date of request, the requester's name, the requester's organizational affiliation, a description of the request and the date the request was filled. Ideally I would like this information for the period from 2004 to the present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is made in the process of academic research and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

In response to your GRAMA request below, attached is a log of GRAMA requests received by the Utah State Office of Education this year. USOE has not previously kept such a log and is not required under GRAMA to create a record in response to a GRAMA request. Therefore, your request for records for 2004-15 is DENIED. If you wish to appeal this decision, your appeal should be made in writing, and within thirty (30) days to Sydnee Dickson, Interim Superintendent of Public Instruction, by e-mail at sydnee.dickson@schools.utah.gov<mailto:sydnee.dickson@schools.utah.gov>, or by mail at the address below. Please copy my office on any appeal. Should you have any questions, please feel free to let me know.
