On January 1, 2025, Landon and Heather Schott made public allegations of criminal behavior m from a widely distributed podcast they publish through their church, where they claim there were attempts to kidnap their children, Heather Schott's vehicle tires were slashed, and a "million dollar ransom" was placed on Landon Schott's head:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records between 6/1/2024 and 12/31/2024:
All police records referencing the following people:

-- investigative records (which can include chronological records of events, property and evidence logs, witness lists, interview notes from officers examining the case, photos and videos included in the case file, search warrant affidavits, case summaries, and charges recommended to the prosecuting agency)
If you determine that some but not all the information we’ve requested is exempt from disclosure and that you intend to withhold it, I ask that you redact it for the time being and make the rest available on a rolling basis. In any event, please provide a signed notification citing the legal authorities on which you rely if you determine that any information is exempt and will not be disclosed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge and processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage, and therefore we request that you waive any costs.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I have no record of this event for these people. The only thing I have for Heather is a traffic accident in 2011. I have no records for 3210 Edna except for them reporting a barking dog in August of last year. As far as the 1020 E Waco address the only thing they have is burglar alarms.
