Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All documents related to suspected and/or verified violations of liquor laws and/or COVID regulations at Mackinaw's Restaurant in Chehalis, as well as any and all other establishments owned by Laurel Khan. This should include, but not be limited to:
All emails , meeting minutes or notes and memoranda that discuss alleged violations at Mackinaw's Restaurant, or are written to, from, or about Laurel Kahn or any other staff or representatives of Mackinaw's or any of Kahn's other establishments
All complaints concerning alleged violations Mackinaw's, or any other licensed establishment owned or operated by Kahn
All inspection and investigation reports related to Mackinaw's, Laurel Kahn, or any other establishment she owns or operates.
As this inquiry is related to COVID, you may limit the scope of this inquiry to documents created or sent between December 1, 2019 and December 17, 2021.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or thumb-drive if not.

The Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (WSLCB) received the attached public records request from you on December 17, 2021. This letter responds to your request under RCW 42.56.520 and WAC 314-60-085. Please use the above Request ID# when contacting us about this request.

You asked for copies of the following records: "All documents related to suspected and/or verified violations of liquor laws and/or COVID regulations at Mackinaw's Restaurant in Chehalis, as well as any and all other establishments owned by Laurel Khan. This should include, but not be limited to:

We understand your request to be seeking enforcment recors regarding Mackinaw's from December 1, 2019 to December 2021 to include email. If you feel we have not understood your needs as set forth in your request, please make us aware of that development, and provide us with sufficient clarification to allow us to better understand the specific LCB public records being sought.

We estimate it will take up to 30 business days or until Febraury 2, 2022 to gather, review, and provide records to you.

We will contact you again when we have found the records and tell you of any charges. If records can be gathered and provided electronically there is no charge. However, under WAC 314-60-090, we may charge 15 cents per page for regular copies plus postage or 5 cents per page for scanned records provided electronically. If there is a charge, we will send you the records after we receive a check made out to WSLCB for the amount due. You may also review the records free of charge at our office if you prefer.
