Good afternoon,

In response to your public records request, submitted on July 24, 2019, the Department searched for records pertaining to Mineral Rights GIS Data, and the following in particular:

"(1) All GIS data pertaining to mineral rights on land within the state, including but not limited to private mineral rights, state mineral rights, federal mineral rights, and tribal mineral rights;
(2) All guides/ reports related to this data produced in the past two years."

The Department has concluded its search, and has found responsive records. These records can be downloaded from the following link:

* 19PRR7219: Mineral Rights GIS Data<https://p.widencdn.net/gq0kpb/19PRR7219-Mineral-Rights-GIS-Data>

Additionally, the Department of Natural Resources does not possess GIS data on any of the mines, mineral reserves, or prospects. Department staff suggested that some counties have this GIS information.

At this time, your public records request will be considered closed. Thank you, and please let me know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

We are committed to service excellence.
