Dear Records Custodian,
Pursuant to the Wisconsin Public Records Law, Wis. Stat. §§ 19.31-19.39, I hereby request an electronic copy of the membership agreement between the State of Wisconsin and the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). This document is requested to understand the terms under which Wisconsin participates in ERIC.
If any portions of the document contain sensitive or exempt information, I request that you redact those portions and provide the remainder of the document in compliance with Wis. Stat. § 19.36(6), which requires redaction in lieu of denial when possible.
Wisconsin law requires that you respond to this request "as soon as practicable and without delay" under Wis. Stat. § 19.35(4)(a). I kindly ask that you acknowledge receipt of this request and provide an estimated timeframe for when I can expect the records.
Please provide the requested records via email to [your email address]. If there are any fees associated with fulfilling this request, please inform me of the costs before processing.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

To the extent that this response denies any part of your public records request, the WEC’s determination is subject to review in an action for mandamus under Wis. Stat. § 19.37(1), or by application to a district attorney or the Attorney General.
