The brackets are set, the guesses are in, and the Freedom of Information Act requests are off for this year’s FOIA March Madness transparency extravaganza!
Our 2018 competitors will be battling to provide a collection of talking points and the like from Election Day 2017 through March 13, 2018 (that’s today!).
This 16-month, five-day period has brought us on a government-sponsored public relations rollercoaster ride. A new administration, border walls, Cabinet churn, regulatory rollbacks, and so much more. What have been the major moments for our federal agencies to get on the same page? Will they say? If they can’t, will it be because the search is too onerous - or something more ominous?
Next week, we’ll let you know who has managed to score enough talking points to move on to the next round, and stay tuned as we break down the good, the bad, and the nonresponsive for yet another mad, mad March here at MuckRock.
