For newsrooms looking to improve their FOIA work, find new ways to collaborate with their readers, or who want to tackle ambitious public records projects, CLEF grants provide an affordable way to get up and running - but only if you apply by Wednesday, October 31st.

Recipients will be reimbursed between 25% and 75% of the cost of a MuckRock organizational account, based on financial need and number of applicants.

CLEF grant recipients will also get full access to all of DocumentCloud’s upgraded features when we roll out joined accounts early next year - one account, access to all of our FOIA, document analysis, crowdfunding, and crowdsourcing tools.

This is a great opportunity if you already have a Professional account to get the rest of the newsroom on board (if you have a four person newsroom and get the maximum subsidy, the Organization account will be less expensive than just one Pro account).
