Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Dear FOIA Officer,

I am writing to request access to and copies of records regarding Mr. Ezra Cohen-Watnick's activities during his tenure at the Department of Defense, under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.

Positions and Roles: Documents detailing Mr. Cohen-Watnick’s roles and responsibilities while serving as Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations/Low Intensity Conflict, and Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. This should include all official communications, memos, directives, and policy documents he authored or was involved in.

Meetings and Correspondences: All schedules, meeting notes, and correspondence involving Mr. Cohen-Watnick related to his duties in these roles. Please include meetings with external entities, other government agencies, and international counterparts.

Projects and Initiatives: Information about any projects or initiatives that Mr. Cohen-Watnick spearheaded or was significantly involved in during his tenure, including any related to special operations, intelligence operations, or defense strategies.

Personnel Decisions and Influence: Records reflecting any personnel decisions influenced or made by Mr. Cohen-Watnick, including but not limited to hiring, promotions, reassignments, and dismissals.
Interagency Communications: Copies of any interagency communications that Mr. Cohen-Watnick was a part of, particularly relating to U.S. national security and defense intelligence strategies.

Briefings and Reports: Copies of briefings and reports prepared by or presented to Mr. Cohen-Watnick, especially those concerning special operations and intelligence matters.

I request a waiver of all fees for this request. Disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest because it is likely to contribute significantly to public understanding of the operations and activities of the government and is not primarily in my commercial interest.

If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the act. I will also expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to deny a waiver of fees.

As I am making this request in the public interest, for non-commercial use, I request that you expedite the processing of this request.
