Pursuant to the South Carolina Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

the personnel file of former Clemson University employee Elliott Charles, who served as the . Associate Director for Compliance Services. This includes any completed disciplinary internal investigations into his work as an employee and any disciplinary actions that were taken involving Elliott Charles. I am also requesting his application for employment and resume that was submitted to Clemson University for consideration of employment.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Please note that your request for personnel records is exempt from disclosure pursuant to SC Code Ann §30-4-40(a)(2)(information of a personal nature where disclosure thereof would constitute an unreasonable invasion or personal privacy). Records concerning Mr. Charles' application and resume are being provided per SC Code Ann §30-4-40(a)(13). As these records were readily available, there will be no charge for the search. Certain personal information, including telephone numbers and addresses, has been redacted per SC Code Ann §30-4-40(a)(2).
