Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
+ All emails, letters and other communication using the words “juggalo” or “juggalos” received or sent by or sent between any member(s) of the department between November 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010;
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

I am waiting for a response from Technology Services to learn if it is possible to restore and query accounts from 2010 and what the costs associated with such a task would be. I will respond to you when I learn more.

As these records are for public purpose, I request that the fee be waived or reduced under the Colorado Open Records Act, 24-72-205 (4) "Such fee may be reduced or waived by the custodian if the electronic services and products are to be used for a public purpose, including public agency program support, nonprofit activities, journalism, and academic research."
Also, please understand that any costs for search or retrieval are limited to materials discoverable.

Thank you. Though you made your request pursuant the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), records of the Denver Police Department are criminal justice records, the disclosure of which is governed by the Colorado Criminal Justice Records Act (CCJRA), 24-72-301, et seq.
Though we are unsure what responsive documents from 2010 may be presently maintained, the query will not be performed until the possibility of incurring costs has been accepted.
