Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
DNA acquisition records (whether a sample from him has been acquired and when), booking / arrest records, mugshots, investigative notes or communications such as email, fax, or phone that involve BRIAN ALLEN HAIR (DOB: 1976-Aug-26) relating to Case No. 20-CR-012808-001 filed July 21, 2020 in Clark County.
The period to search is: July 20, 2020 through August 3, 2021.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thanks so much for your response. My apologies, it indicates that the file is protected due to an ongoing investigation. From the court docket it appears that Mr. Hair is deceased. Can you please verify that is the case that this investigation is still open? Does a case remain open if a defendant dies?

LVMPD’s Public Records Unit has received your fax sent April 10th, 2023 in reference to NPR2023-0037910. At your request PRU did verify that there is in fact open case(s) regarding the requested event in the Las Vegas Justice Court. Although as you indicated, Mr. Hair is deceased, this is a multi-defendant case and there is still pending criminal proceedings.
