The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

This Firm represents the Collin County Community College District (the "College") regarding your request dated and received February 1, 2021 ("Request") in which you requested the following information:
1. "Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records: any and all payments or payments owed by Collin College to any law firm, from fiscal year 2015 (included) until the date of this request. Please specify the name or names of each law firm to which payments were made or owed."
The College has also determined that complying with your request for emails will result in the imposition of a charge that exceeds $40. The College also received your fee waiver request referencing 552.267(a) of the Texas Public Information Act ("TPIA"). Under the TPIA, the determination of whether providing information is in the "public interest" rests solely with the governmental body whose records are requested. The College has determined that the records requested are not in the public's interest and, therefore, will not waive or reduce any charges allocated to this Request.
Therefore, we are providing you with this cost estimate as required by section 552.2615 of the Texas Government Code.

Your request will be considered automatically withdrawn if you do not notify us in writing within ten business days from the date of this letter that you either:
1. accept the charges;
2. wish to modify your request; OR
3. have sent to the Open Records Division of the Office of the Attorney General a complaint alleging that you are being overcharged for the information you have requested.
Please note, the College was closed due to inclement weather from February 15, 2021 through February 19, 2021. Therefore, this response is timely provided.

I wanted to follow up with you on your request and the payment you stated you submitted. As you are aware, on February 22, 2021, the College sent you a cost estimate. It is unclear who you notified that you accepted the charges and the College does not have documentation related to the payment made. Please let me know as soon as possible where you directed the payment and any documentation that supports the payment so that the College may process the request accordingly. The College is ready, willing and able to process your request once the deposit of 100% is received.
