To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1.Number of SROs or related positions (Juvenile Detective, Youth Officer, or other substitute titles for similar job functions) with authority to enter any school grounds in your jurisdiction, the names and title of each, and the direct Supervisor for each.

2.Calls to service on school campuses broken down by campus and ethnicity

3. Result of calls to service on school campuses (For example: no action, verbal warning, referral to support/therapy, citation, arrest, 5150 hold, referral to probation, etc.)

4. Number of youth given citations by an SRO broken down by ability (disabled or not-disabled)

5. Number of youth given citations by an SRO broken down by ethnicity

6. Number of youth arrests by an SRO broken down by ability (disabled or not-disabled)

7. Number of youth arrests by an SRO broken down by ethnicity. Of these arrests, how many were status offenses or minor offenses?

8. Number of youth probation referrals by an SRO broken down by ethnicity

9. Who oversees school police and SROs and what is the public process for filing complaints on school police? Have any public complaints been filed in the past 5 years? If so, please provide those complaints.

10. Have any school police or SROs been investigated? If so, please provide the records for those investigations.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
