To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Dear FOIA Officer:

Pursuant to the federal Freedom of Information Act, 5 U.S.C. § 552, I request access to and copies of all work of and records mentioning Department of Education appointee, Alexandra Hudson between the date of her appointment and February 1, 2017. This will include emails (to and from), meeting agendas from meetings Alexandra Hudson attended or was mentioned. Additionally we request white papers, articles, reports, and any other education policy materials generated by or by the request of Alexandra Hudson at the Department of Education.

I would like to receive the information in a digital format, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

If possible, please waive any applicable fees. Release of the information is in the public interest because it will contribute significantly to public understanding of government operations and activities. The Broadcaster is a scholastic news publication serving Hershey, PA since 1926. Our reporting is in the public interest and will help the 3,000+ students of Derry Township School District and the 25,000+ residents of Derry Township understand how their federal government operates.

If the waiver of fees is denied, I agree to pay reasonable duplication fees for the processing of this request in an amount not to exceed $20. However, please notify me prior to your incurring any expenses in excess of that amount.

If my request is denied in whole or part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the act. I will also expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. I, of course, reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or to deny a waiver of fees.
I would appreciate your communicating with me by email or telephone, rather than by mail.
I look forward to your determination regarding my request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Thank you for your assistance.
Sincerely,

Robert Sterner

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I shall endeavor to be more specific. The time frame indicated in my initial request still remains.

2. documents or emails that indicate what Alexandra Hudson job is at the Department of Education.
3. documents or emails that indicate who Alexandra Hudson's superior(s) is/are.
4. documents or emails that list what reports, white papers, and other policy work Alexandra Hudson is tasked with.
5. indicate what directives (if any) Alexandra Hudson has been given by her superiors with regard to policy direction.
6. a log(indicating recipient) of all emails Alexandra Hudson sent from her government account(.gov) to those outside of the Department of Education including other branches of the federal government.
7. meeting agendas and minutes for those meetings Alexandra Hudson attended within the Department of Education.

I apologize for my previous overly broad request. If this is not sufficient, I shall attempt to be even more specific.

While this does answer another FOIA request I submitted, it does not answer the direct reply of 2/13/2017:

"I request a list of all political appointees, including their job titles, to the Department of Education since the election of Donald Trump on November 8, 2016 and today February 13, 2017."

I therefore request: a list of all political appointees, including their job titles, to the Department of Education since the election of Donald Trump on November 8, 2016 and today December 10, 2017.

Pretty simple. List, names, job titles.
