I would like to obtain all emails sent to, from, or copied to whistleblower@consumerfinance.gov, containing the following non-case-sensitive keystring in the content or headers of the emails, "big data", "surveillance", "machine learning", "CCTV", or "automated intelligence".

Please search from January 1, 2014 to January 1, 2018.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I would like to appeal this determination.

There is reason to believe that many of the emails sent to whistleblower@consumerfinance.gov are not related to protected whistleblower disclosures.

Therefore, I would request the FOIA request be processed and the CFPB only redact information that would reveal personal data, however, other information such as meta data, greetings, filler text, etc should be released.
