To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the New York Freedom of Information Law, I hereby request the following records:

Ridership demand modeling, ridership survey results, and any other internal memoranda or reports informing the decision to raise the NYC Ferry ticket price to $4.

Note: On Thursday July 14, EDC president Andrew Kimball said: “The $4 fare decision was informed by ridership surveys, ridership demand modeling, and past experience with the East River Ferry.” (https://www.thecity.nyc/2022/7/14/23218975/city-tweaks-ferry-pricing-in-wake-of-audit)

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Akash Mehta
