From: twitter.com/journo_anon Public Records Requester
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act and Sunshine Ordinance, I hereby request the following records:
- all documents, video, guides, rules, manuals, or other training material for production of metadata of emails or calendars and/or production of PDFs of public records. Produce videos or Microsoft Office files in their original electronic format (as your agency determined, there is no cyber risk for Word documents, and the same should be true of Excel or PowerPoint or videos). Emails may be produced in PDF format (email headers are NOT required, but preserve attachments, email addresses in the To/From/Cc/Bcc, hyperlinks, images, formatting, and the body of the email).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
From: Muckrock Staff

Hi there
A message was sent to you regarding record request #21-2965:
Dear Requester,
Thank you for your records request and the reminder. I apologize for the delay response because I was out on vacation. We have the request recorded in NextRequest and we will begin work on this.
Please know that our metadata training materials are regularly being updated with changes to the process and technology used to produce the data. We have a new update that needs to be incorporated into the documentation and we will send the materials once this is completed. Our response should be in 2 weeks.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi there
Record request #21-2965 has been closed and published. The closure reason supplied was:
Dear Anonymous,
We have conducted a diligent search and have located responsive records, which is now available to the general public per instruction on your request.
Also, please note that the Public Records Act requires an agency to make available to any person a copy of an “identifiable record or records” in its possession (Please see California Government Code § 6253(b).) The City’s obligation under the Sunshine Ordinance, like the Public Records Act, is to produce public records in its custody. (See San Francisco Administration Code § 67.20(b).) There is no requirement that a department or officer construct a document to meet the specifications of the request.
This concludes your public records request.
We thank you for your patience.
Sincerely,
DT Public Records Analyst
